1. How do I Buy Land ?
When you have found the Parcel you like you can Buy it by Right clicking on the Ground and by selecting BUY from the Menu you get.
In the next Screen you have to Confirm that you have Read the Zoning and Building Rules mentioned in the Covenant.
2. Do I really Own the Land or is it just Rented ?
You own the Land you purchase. VIPER – Land Rentals retains Ownership of the “Estate” so we can Manage it and provide you with Services.
You have Full Land Rights and you have Full Control of your Land, such as changing the Name of the Land, Planting Trees, Banning People, changing Media URLs and so on.
You can sell your Land anytime, to anyone for any Price.
The new Owner must be willing to abide by any Zoning Rules that may be written in the Covenant.
3. Do I need a Premium Account to Own Land at VIPER – Land Rentals ?
No, you don’t need a Premium Account to Own Land at VIPER – Land Rentals.
A Premium Account is only needed when you Buy Land on Mainland.
4. Can I Buy Land for a Group ?
Yes, It’s possible to Buy Land for a Group.
Once you have bought your Land you can DEED it to a Group.
4.1. How to Deed Land to a Group ?
1. Right click on the Land to open the ‘General Tab’ in the about Land Window.
2. Set the Land to your Group by clicking on the SET Button
3. Enable the “Allow Deed to Group” Option
4. Click on the DEED Button.
NOTE:
The Option “Owner Makes Contribution With Deed” has no use for Private Estates such as VIPER – Land Rentals.
5. Can I share Prims between Parcels ?
Yes, it is possible to share Prims between Parcels if they are Owned by the same Avatar or Owned by the same Group and if both Parcels are in the same Sim.
You can use then all or a Part of the Prims of Parcel A on Parcel B.
NOTE:
Prim sharing is ONLY possible if the Parcels are in the same Sim!
Group Land has to be DEEDED to the Group. When you use SET then the Land remains in the Name of the Avatar who bought the Land.
6. Why do you have a Covenant ?
Because of the Building and Object Codes mentioned in our Covenant we can Guarantee you that the Land you bought Today will look nice Tomorrow too. We have also Several Rules in it to Keep the Lag as Low as possible.
For each Type of Sim we have different Covenants.
We have a Covenant for Residential, Commercial, Adult and Mixed Land.
Please Read the Covenant before you Buy a Land Parcel.
7. What happens if I don’t want to Keep the Land anymore ?
If you don’t want to Keep the Land anymore you can Sell it to another Resident or you simply Stop paying the Tier for it.
Please Contact us or Submit a Support Request via our In-World VIPER – Land Rentals Group – if you don’t want to Pay your Tier anymore so that we can reclaim the Land and Set it Back for Sale.
7.1. How to Set Land for Sale ?
1. Right click on the Ground and open the ‘About Land’ Options.
2. Click on the SELL LAND Button
3. Enter the Price of the Land.
4. Enter a Name you want the Land to Sell or Set it to anyone.
5. Define if you want to Sell your transferable Objects that are rezzed on the Land or not.
6. Click on the SET LAND FOR SALE Button.
NOTE:
You can only Sell the Land for 0 L$ if you Enter the Name of the Buyer.
If you want to Sell Land to everybody then the Price has to be more then 0 L$.
9. What is Tier ?
In Second Life, every Plot of Land has a monthly Land Fee attached to it. This is called ‘Tier’. This Fee covers ongoing expenses related to upkeep for the Land, such as the Cost for the Servers themselves and Support Staff.
At VIPER – Land Rentals, we charge Tier per Square Meter of Land, so you do not Pay for Land Tier you don’t use.
10. How is Tier Collected ?
At VIPER – Land Rentals we have a Rental Box Tier System.
You can Pay by Week and Month (Maximum 12 Weeks in Advance).

11. What Happens if I don’t Pay ?
We have a 24 Hours Grace Period, during which you should receive 2 notices by IM from our Staff informing you that you are past due.
If at the End of these 24 Hours we do not Hear from you and the Balance is in excess of 24 Hours the Land will be reclaimed.
If you have a Problem paying, please Contact us immediately so that we can Talk about a Solution.
Reclaiming Land is the Last thing we want to do.
12. I’d Like to Pay with PayPal, do you Accept it ?
No, VIPER – Land Rentals accept only payments with L$.
13. Can I Pay the Tier with my Credit or Debit Card ?
No, VIPER – Land Rentals accept only payments with L$.
14. How to Deed Land to a Group ?
When you want to give to more then one Owner Land Rights then deeding Land to a Group is the perfect Solution.
Via the Group Roles you can define what each Group Member can do on the Land or give them Rights to change Land Options and Ban Users when needed.
14.1. How to Deed the Land:

2. Set the Land to your Group by clicking on the SET Button

15. How to undeed Group Owned Land ?
If you want to undeed Group Owned Land then you can Sell the Land Back to your Self for 0 L$.
You need to be one of the Owners of the Group to be able to do this.
15.1. How to Set Land for Sale ?
1. Right click on the Ground and open the ‘About Land’ Options.
2. Click on the SELL LAND Button
3. Enter the Price and who you want to Sell.
4. Click on the SET LAND FOR SALE Button.
NOTE:
You can only Sell the Land for 0 L$ if you Enter the Name of the Buyer.
If you want to Sell Land to everybody then the Price has to be more then 0 L$.
16. How do I Play Music or Video on Group Owned Land ?
To Play Music or Video with a Radio or TV on Group Owned Land you have to DEED the Radio, the TV or the Receiver of the TV to the Land. Once that is done, Group Members can Control the Radio or TV.
16.1. How to Deed an Object to a Group Owned Land ?
1. Right click on the Object
2. Select EDIT from the Menu
3. Open the GENERAL Tab
4. SET the Object to your Group
5. Enable the SHARE with Group Option
6. Click on the DEED Button
7. Confirm the OWNER TRANSFER
NOTE:
If you want to Move the Object after it is deeded to the Group then you need to Enable that Group Members can Move the Object.
Once the Object is deeded to the Group you can’t take it Back in your Inventory.
The Owner of the Group or a Member of the Group who has the Rights to do it, can Return Group Owned Objects.
When the Object is returned it goes Back to the Lost & Found Folder of the Origional Owner (The Person who rezzed the Object).
17. How to divide or join Land Parcels ?
With Land from VIPER – Land Rentals, we do allow that you divide or join Land.
This can only be done by the Owner of the Land or by a Member of the Group who has the Rights for it, if the Land is deeded to a Group.
17.1. How to divide Land ?
1. Right click on the Land and Select EDIT from the Menu.
2. Make a Square while you hold your Left Mouse Button down.
3. Release the Left Mouse Button when the Square has the Size of the Land you want to have.
4. Select DIVIDE in the Window that will appear.
NOTE:
When you need to make a Big Parcel you have to Zoom out. When needed raise the Draw Distance in the preferences of your SL Viewer. You can change this in the Graphics Options.
17.2. How to join Land ?
1. Go to the Land Border of the 2 Parcels you want to join.
2. Right click on the Land and Select EDIT from the Menu.
3. Make a small Square over both Land Parcels while you hold your Left Mouse Button down.
4. Release the Left Mouse Button when the Square is over a small Part of both Land Parcels.
5. Select JOIN in the Window that will appear.
NOTE:
You don’t have to Select all Land of both Parcels. When the Square selects a Part of each Parcel then all Land will be joined.
